Defining manually means one will have to assign factors to LL for different floors and then combine in the load case. This can be done even without assigning the LL as reducible. Then it is not necessary to make the LL as reducible.Is it correct?

When we are assigning shear wall to a model whether or not the self weight of shear wall is accounted for by the etabs in calculating seismic mass and/or the equivalent lateral load by etabs.
I have read in this forum that rigid diaphragm was required in the old version of Etabs. In the version 2006 onwards diaphragm is not required to be rigid. Under the above circumstance I am not able to visualise as to why rigidity has been assigned to the diaphragm by Rubyk. Please advise.
