    thanks, i am not so familiar with lrfd and all these phi factors confuse me. the allowabe ASD for Fw is 0.3 (70) x 0.707 if i were to compare this with actual lrfd loads/stress. what should be the Fw formula including lrfd phi factor

    can someone refer me to a guide how to check the weld of WF steel column to base plate. i am checking a calculation seem straight forward but he has corner stress ft, etc..
