Need a food safe encapsulant to coat a small electronic device.

I believe the mold process is too hot to use the same material as the bottle. The device has a small battery that is temperature sensitive. In general I'd like to avoid a cavity type approach to eliminate the chance for leakage. The device has to go inside the bottle. There will be design...

Need a food safe encapsulant to coat a small electronic device.

I need to coat or mold a small (2cm x 3cm x 0.5cm) electronics device (chips and coin cell battery) that will be placed into a drinking bottle. The liquids will be normal drinks (no alcohol). Does anyone have an idea for a particular product or a resource to find one? Thanks, DJ

How the heck do you solder SMD's that have pads underneath?

Solder paste can be difficult to manage using manual dispensing and a soldering iron or heat gun. If heated too fast the flux can cause the solder to move or scatter. If heated too slow the pad wetting on one side can be poor. For a part like this you need to get the PCB pad and solder mask...

High Voltage Test Box is creating spikes that keeps destroying meters

The capacitance of the voltage divider may be factor in passing large spikes of voltage through to the meter input. You may need to add capacitance to ground on the meter input so that the divider properly divides both DC and fast AC transients. This is very similar to adjusting an oscilloscope...
