V4 convert from alloy cast bore to wet liner !?

This may be heresy, but have you considered fitting Aprilia's V4 engine? Considerably more power from a stock engine.

    high hp/cylinder engines...

I'm a little late in commenting, but you may find some useful information in the below linked thread, and others across the internet by the same fella. Its a long time since I read his posts though. He twin-charged his 4G63 evo to great effect, although only reaching around 750bhp as I recall...

Crosshead Engine & Crosshead Slider Design

Crosshead is normally below the piston rod stuffing box / sealing arrangement, so will not normally be subject to high pressure atmosphere. Some engines I've worked on have used telescoping tubes to the crosshead which also supply oil to a cooling circuit within the piston rod and piston crown...

    which path to follow

Would you consider working on ships? Google MNTB, the merchant navy training board in the UK. A merchant navy cadetship (apprenticeship) takes just under three years, half at college and half at sea, and results in an HND, an SVQ level 3, and a professional qualification (STCW Engineer Officer...

    FPSO cargo tanks vent

In the UK, at least, an FPSO is NOT a ship. It is an oil producing installation; hence it is not subject to normal shipping regulations (like IMO, MARPOL etc) but those pertaining to oil producing installations.

Vessel/Tank Inspectors - How to Find?

You don't specify your geographic location. In the UK I'd be on the phone to DNV, Lloyds, BV or other third party inspection companies. They have extensive presence so may be located near you.

    Formation Water Processing

Wish I'd seen this thread when it was fresh - hopefully you will be notified of this reply, OP. If you have sufficient pressure drop available then a hydrocyclone vessel (or two) would be ideal for your flowrates; and would exceed your 200ppm target with ease (as long as there's no odd...

    Bike Carb Manifold

What kind of engine? What bike did the carbs come from? Looks rough and nasty but how about something like the pic below? R6 carbs on a Peugeot 205 1.6 litre engine according to the forum thread it was posted in. Forum thread (external)

    Hydrocyclone (Deoiler) Package Unit Vendors

Cyclotech (Part of MI-SWACO, Schlumberger now; also includes EPCON CFUs) Alderley (large installed base in ME) FMC have a water processing division Opus (not sure if they supply equipment) There are others which don't come to mind at the moment. Disclaimer: I work for one of the above.

    Tesla "Super Charger"

I came across the following on Google+. Basic principle is a network of solar charging stations. I can think of at least one drawback - any other comments? Admirable if they can make it work though. https://plus.google.com/u/0/102898672602346817738/posts/5F8MjAEgpu4 (Video in post)...

Where can I find Subsea jobs?

You'll find many of the jobs on boards are posted by recruitment agencies, not directly by the companies, hence you'd be as well contacting some recruiters. http://www.oilandgaspeople.com/ is pretty good, as are any of the others that pop up in Google. There are lots (read 1000+) of vacancies...

    Male Male Socket Adapters

I have a set similar to the link below. Can be used with spanner/wrench OR a socket & ratchet. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_174979_langId_-1_categoryId_165469

How can a trace a terminated, hidden wire?

The good old shipyard olympics. Bane of many ship's engineers life! Tony - I've had luck trawling through old build/refit photos to locate things before. Lighting transformers/controllers were always an issue on one of the yachts I was on, found them in the weirdest of places.

    Roymech

You may not have come across the project attempting to archive the internet - http://www.archive.org/about/about.php. Thankfully roymech has been archived. I am unsure if any pages are missing, my most commonly used ones are still present...

    ASME B31.3 Intrumentation

Do you mean the instruments themselves or the connection to process? ASME B40.100 - 2005 Pressure Gauges & Gauge attachments Tubing typically used in my industry (Oil&gas, upstream, produced water) is mainly to ASTM-A-269 or -213.

EXHAUST GAS HIGH TEMPERATURE AND T/C SURGING!!!!

You should be running the gasoil through a purifier from bunker tanks to daytanks; this will remove any water/debris which could have accumulated. I wouldn't worry too much about fuel quality. Any results after you cleaned the aircoolers? High exhaust temp is generally either insufficient air...
