    Thanks for the quick responses! SnT, if that was the course taken by the MFR (design to ASME), I assume it would be reasonable to request pressure-temp ratings of said flange? And yet they quoted it as an 'ANSI 250# RFSO flange'... Im still waiting for their reply as to what ANSI standard they...

    A105 vs. A216 WCB valve material

    SVI answered this one pretty well. The only thing i would add is that, in my experience, A105 is generally used for small bore valves. A216 is for larger bore valves (> 2"). Service fluid, conditions and customer preferences should all be taken into account, here.
