I found the sheetmetal bend allowance, which was defaulting to "K=0.5" has changed on a whole truck of my parts to "bend deduction=0"
I beleive this happened after I upgraded from 2010 to 2011 SP5.
My VAR doesn't seem to be able to tell me where this default is set, suggesting it is hard coded...
If you select two cyclinders that are not concentric it tells you the distance between the axes calling it "centre distance"

hide sub assy parts
show sub assembly parts
promote sub assembly parts.
Hide and the sub assy will be just one part in the bom.

I'm told by my VAR that to run SW2010 or SW2011 on Win7 I need to use office 2007.
However I have a conflicting report of a user who is on win7/SW2011 and still using office 2003 without any problems.

Ok I worked this out.
I create my SW 3D assembly and a drawing with authographic views.
Then my DWG data I create separate DWG files for each of the corresponding views.
I also made those views into single blocks, but that stage can be also done in SW I think.
Then I import each dwg in turn...
