Yes, that is correct...my bad.
However, even with just the regular pipe routine, CAD will often freeze up and crash. It seems to be a problem with everyone, so I assume it's a bug in the system. I was hoping that anyone who has had the same problem may have figured out a way to correct it, or...
A coworker of mine is having a problem with the PIPES routine in LDD. When she goes to Manning Circluar her machine displays the following warning- BUFFER OVERRUN DETECTED..then her CAD crashes.
Anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance!
I would try to detach then reattach...if those certain items are still not showing up then go into the main drawing you are reffing and thaw those items...if they were frozen when you reattached, they will not be visible.
In our company, we use main drawings and ref them into our sheets. My coworker usually works in the hyrdo/storm drain drawing. I have noticed that only in his drawings, blocks with attributes (such as lot number and structure numbers) are just empty circles and boxes with no attributes. However...
Thanks for the replies. I tried most everything to no avail. Finally, I just took everything on screen and wrote it to a block file, then resaved the block file.
That pretty much scoured it clean ~
I have a drawing that came in from another company. When I load it, it looks for a missing .shx and .shp files. Does anyone know how I can isolate the problem and remove the request for the files?
I have redone some of the linetypes that look suspect, but to no avail. You would think there...
One of my employees computer no longer recognizes the RG command to regen. There are several lisp routines that rely on the RG command to function properly.
could there be some variable preventing this from working?
Regenmode is set to 1. I have also reloaded his menu to no avail. The RG...
Some of our larger jobs are really killing us on regen times. Most of our comp's are up to date with the exception of video cards, which are probably 3 years old.
My question is, would uploading more current video DRIVERS help our situation, or would it be beneficial to upgrade the CARDS...
That's the first thing we've checked....already set to zero. Let me clarify that the line work is okay, it's ONLY THE TEXT that is landing way off in 3d land. I can manually set it back to 0, but ACAD seems to be remembering the depth. You can type LIMITS and shore up the x/y axis....is there a...
Our firm has noticed a problem with generating profiles...the elevations (text) are on Z coords that are WAY off from 0. Something in the area of 200 thousand or more. Is there some setting in the profile generator that would stop this from occurring?
I am guessing that all that extra 3d space...
This site has solved so many problems for me, I thought I would give this one a shot. For the longest time, we have had to go in and manually fix the dimstyles for vertical curve information. The arrows come out huge and the text for the vertical curve length is way too big.
We have been having...
Is there a site I can go to that lists ALL of the variables for Autocad 2005?
I am finding that many of my problems are ending with variable settings, and there are just so doggone many that I thought a list of all of them would be very helpful.
I had a lisp routine that would set everything a...
Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. One of the only nice features of 2005 is the ability to edit x-refs from a drawing they are being reffed in.
Does anyone know why every once in a while Acad will not allow you save changes to the ref? No one is in the drawing being reffed and no locks...
No it doesn't. Like I said, correct me if....
I'm so busy just trying to get 2005 to work as well as its predecessors that I've lost touch with what's up next.
Not sure. I'm using 2005. I don't know if ACAD 2006 has been released yet. From what I understood from the sales rep, there are add-ons still in the works for 2005 that wont be available before year's end.
Anyone feel free to correct me if things have changed since then. This was around May or...
I enjoyed reading the thread. It's good to know that there are still many out there who have noticed Autodesk trying to reinvent the wheel, fixing things that aren't broke, and generally just losing ground each year after the 2002 edition marked the best Cad had ever been.
Screen menus are one...
I revise my ACAD menus to accomodate my field of work. My current cad menu file has an elaborate SCREEN MENU. My question is this:
I want to write a submenu file for the screen menu part only. When I try to load this submenu, it does not overwrite the generic screen menu file. The only way I...
