Hello All,
API 6A covers face to face dimensions only up to 7-1/16 Ball valve size.
Is there any other standard, I can refer to, for 2000 to 20000 PSI Ball valves?
Appreciate your comments.
Thanks
We are a ball valve supplier. We noticed that several of our ball valves that are over 2 years old have stem injectors rusted.
They are made of A105 material with Zinc plating.
Ball valve itself is made of A105, but there is no rust anywhere else.
do you think specifying SS material for stem...
I referred to an old thread here on this subject.

I am still not clear on this.
I read somewhere that RF smooth finish is perfectly flat and smooth and does not have any serrations.

To dd to my previous post, I think the reason our customer wants to install horizontally is because that way it easier to run a pig as the weight of the disc wouldn't play a major role.
Full opening check valve is similar to a swing check valve, but can open all the way through the bore diameter.
It is piggable.
Even API 6D spec mentions this valve.
Hello valve gurus,
Do you think Full opening check valves are supposed to be installed horizontally too?
Clearance between body and disc is very small for these valves compared to regular swing check valve.
Any little intolerance at the hinge pin joint will cause the disc to drop a little on...
Hi All,
Our supplier just informed us, they are going to use solid ball for a 2" floater and a hollow ball for a 3" floater.
will there be any difference in performance?
what is the reason they use hollow balls in some cases and solid in some?
Thanks in advance
Hi guys,
I am looking for a standard, which specifies the valve body markings such as manufacturer logo, size, pressure, heat number etc. Is it an MSS standard?
Since most of our valves are manufactured in china.
It is a big challenge to us giving them instructions of our logo and marking...
