Hi,
I want to have a macro/API to do the following:
1. Create a new part.
2. Read 3d-coordinates from the first line in a file (ie excel)
3. Sketch lines between the coordinates
4. Make an extrusion from the sketched lines.
5. Save the part as part1.sldprt
6. Create a new part.
7. Read...
Hi,
I frequently use the "sketch color" command in part mode. Unfortunatly I can't find a way to do this in assembly mode. Is it possible to change color of a sketch in a assembly?
Thanks
Hi,
Is it possible to add a custom made revision symbol. I want to have a symbol other than the ones included in the revision symbol selection and therefore I choose "none" and then insert a block with my symbol. Can this be done more easily?
Thanks,
Magnus
BTW,
Do you know a way to get a edge length into custom property, without set a dimension. I have very many parts, and just want change it from the Task Scheduler (update custom property)
In custom property I want to write: "RD1@Drawing View1@Part1.slddrw". But Part1 can also be expressed as $PRP:"SW-File Name". Is it possible in some way to replace <Part1> with <$PRP:"SW-File Name">?
This doesn't seems to work: "RD1@Drawing View1@$PRP:"SW-File Name".slddrw"
I use SW2009sp2.1...
Thanks! Can I blame on the late time of day where I am? :)
One more question thou... The parts won't rebuild using update in task scheduler after changing the value in custom property. Nor will them update using rebuild in assembly. Do I have to open them and rebuild them one at the time?
Ok, but how exactly do i do this? Lets assume I have a sketch called Sketch1, containing dimension D1.
What do i write in equation? And wath do I write in custom property?
Hi,
I know this has been up here before, but i can't figure out how i works.
I want to be able to specify a value linked to a dimension using custom property. My plan is then to control dimensions in several parts using task schedular thru custom property.
Thanks!
All the 250 parts origin from one part. The only thing that seperates them is a sketch that control a main extrude. All sketches and lines are the same in all parts. It's three line-lengths in each part => total 750 lengths.
Thanks for the answer.
Yes, it's a "General table" in a slddrw. I have just one little problem... The assembly consists of 250 parts. It would take weeks to add reference dimensions to all parts. Is there perhaps another way to do it that you know of?
Hi,
I want to make a table in a drawing containing an assembly. In the table i want to have lengths of lines in a specific sketch in each part in the assembly. I've tried with: $PRP:"Length@Line1@Sketch1@Part1.SLDPRT" but it dosen't work. How can i reach a length in i sketch from an assmbly...
Hi,
I have a big assembly with parts containing a sketch, called Sketch15. I want to change a value in this sketch in all parts from the assembly. Is it possible to change all the sketches from within the assembly? I've tried to make an equation in the assambly: "D1@Sketch15" = 10 But it...
Hi,
I have an assembly with around 200 parts. Is there a way to autogenerate drawings from all these parts? I really don't want to generate drawings to each and every one. The parts are generally the same, only with small dimensions-differences. Is there a way to include autodim aswell?
Thanks!
Many thanks!
One more question...
I have made a new part with a sketch called "sketch2". I've set the 3 property rows. This seems to work out. I use the ($PRP:"SW-File Name") and it return the actual file-name. I've also set up the equation "Dummy"= "code". But I can't make text in the sketch...
Hi, I have a assembly with many parts. I want to lable each part with a sketch containing a text with the filename of each part. I know it's possible to link the filename to a note. ($PRP:"SW-File Name". Can this be done to text in a sketch aswell?
Thanks!
