    RMS in vibration analysis

    Hi (and sorry for my english..) I have to analyze 2 graphs returned by a vibrometer; there's time on the x-axis, and, on the y axis, peak and RMS respectively (see graph in attachment). But RMS isn't Root Mean Square? Shouldn't it be a number (and not a function of time)?
