Manual clutch control for small hyd pump.

No source of current for elec clutch on this. Clutch needs to be utilized at a variety of rpm so centrifugal is also out. Has to be a purely mechanical clutch.

Manual clutch control for small hyd pump.

The clutch itself need not be operated at the pump, but will be actuated via control cable.

Manual clutch control for small hyd pump.

I need a manually operable clutch for a small 16gpm 3000psi 1.05 cu in hydraulic pump. The following is all I've been able to locate but is prohibitively expensive for this application. http://www.tbwoods.com/Products_Mechanical_Clutches_Rotocam.asp Are there any other alternatives? A little movie trivia?

Case covers, Fork clamps, or indeed as you were able to produce, exhaust clamps. From what else I've gathered, he eventually produced his own jugs out of cast iron pipe! Now he has the option of boring the pipe to fit whatever pistons are at hand of nearly the same dimension. Even New...

    A little movie trivia?

But was he running 'home brewed' pistons at Daytona in a '40s era two cylinder hopped up sufficient to push a bike upwards of 200mph? (as the movie suggests). My hunch is that, despite the fact that the original molds seem to exist, that he eventually must have come up with some NOS (new old...

    A little movie trivia?

Having an argument with a couple of others around here about a segment in the movie "The World's Fastest Indian". For anyone unfamiliar, the guy is a garage mechanic in New Zealand in the '50s. He has a pet Indian motorcycle that he keeps tinkering with make it faster. In the movie, he's...

"Thank MikeHalloran for this valuable post!" Thank you mike! You're guessing alum billet, color anodized with polished highlights? Why on earth would you guess that mike? You in a bad mood? This is simply for the challenge of seeking to integrate a 26cc 4cycle weed trimmer motor into an...

compact, lightweight, gear reduction for hobby project

Yes it does. Tags, but no addit insurance. I have two Puch mopeds with current tags on them. I'll do likewise with this machine. I'm thinking that the most straightforward answer may end up being a toothed belt to a jackshaft and then chained from there to the left side of the pedal...

compact, lightweight, gear reduction for hobby project

I'd like to attach a 26cc Ryobi 4 cycle weed trimmer motor to a commuter bicycle to supplement pedaling. I'd like to do this as efficiently and elegantly as possible. Versions I've seen resort to friction drive direct to the tire or enormous pulleys to acquire speed reduction straight off of...
