In Abaqus it is possible to define sets. As far as I am informed
you need this sets for creating boundary conditions and defining loads, pressure.
What makes me confused is that you can define a set in "Part"
and on he other hand in "Assembly", where you find the defined set from the Part...
Thanx for the comments.
job completed succesfully by choosing small sliding,
but if I choose finite sliding it aborts after 30- 40 %
In finite sliding there is no penetration.
so how can i fix the problem?
problem:
body X contacts body Y (both iron and rubber on the edge), e.g. rubber on rubber . In visualization it can be seen that body Y go through body X. Contact definition is hard and srface-to-surface.
How can I fix this problem?
thanx for helping
Thanx.
I have already switched to surface to surface.
the smooth function helps, but if the smooth-factor is very small, e.g. 0.01 the max. value gets smaller because of the
smooth-function.
Problem:
a contactproblem between two bodies.
After plotting cpress the curves oscillates.
I think it has sth. to do with the meshing.
with normal meshing the curve looks smooth. But with more finer meshing it looses the smothness.
How can I fix this problem in Abaqus (CAE) ?
many thnax
Thanx for the comments.
Where can I modify it in CAE Abaqus?
There is a "Shetch option" , but I am still confused,
because the measurements of the model remain.
As far as I am informed Abaqus does not care about units.
After setting the "approximate size" I have noticed that the measurement of the model has the factor 1:100.
For example line A to B has the value 1 (distance "H1"). But I want it to be 100. And not only for this line but for the whole...
@tgrimley
thank you for the tip.
I have ued a distributing coupling surface/ node.
But the wished effect is not reached
the max. tension has to be top left and not downright
:(
thankx for posting cpomments.
first of all i want to consider static case.
I have put a sketch in the attachment.
Maybe this hepls understanding my problem.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=b5ad9c19-76a0-4680-8c9d-af9020bfd508&file=hipjoint.jpg
While modeling a 2-d human hip joint I need boundary conditions,
One constraint is that the end of the femur is fixed.
How can I define this in Abaqus?
Do I need a reference point?
Many thanx for helping
By modelling a human hip joint (cae ansys/ abaqus) i need to consider loads and
(bound conditions).
One load is the own human weight , which is clear.
But which loads do i have to consider too and where do i have to put them in the geometry?
Many thanx for helping
