Having Problems Creating Rib! Please Help.

I have a solution attached.... wouldn't say it is an easy method. I would be interested in seeing a picture of this model created in Solidworks to understand your desired outcome. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=1ac3982d-4e4a-46a3-bf2c-3aa04f84952d&file=model3.prt

    Posting Helical Milling

Take a look at your PB_CMD_helix and change to match the attachment, it should work but I haven't tested it.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=6b6bf710-5bbb-472e-8300-96e6e84ebbb4&file=example.jpg

    NX6, postbuilder, lathe, spindle output

If you place "#" signs where I show them in my attachment and place the command under "First_Move" it should work. Let me know.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=cd5a0549-19fd-4843-a3eb-384668ab18f0&file=output_spindle.jpg

    NX2

Did you purchase this program? Do you pay maintence? You would just go to Siemens website and download a newer version.

    NX7 3+2 axis toolpath

I've attached a sample file. The first op is a planar mill operation. The second is a contour mill (z-level) operation.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=55bd6e6e-cc69-4648-8354-90ae72b69b60&file=sample.prt

    NX7 3+2 axis toolpath

Why do you want to use a 5-axis operation for 3-axis cutting? The picture you provided could be done with a planar mill operation. Just pick your tool axis and that will position your B and C axis.

    polar drilling

You have to program your drilling operations as normal and under Objects=> Start Events select the Set Polar UDE and set to on. You may have to make changes in your post depending on you machine/controller.

how to send a surface to CAM

Yeah if you select a solid body as your part you will have to add the sheet or sheets you created to your part in you operation.

    NX6 - Unwanted post output.

You must have a header custom command in your start of program that is creating that information.

How do I design this part?

You can try something like this. I'm very good with splines so I would acctually use curves for my guide strings but this was faster for an example. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=92cb4169-2458-4d2f-8b35-66751e48accc&file=port.prt

Any Luck from purchased post processor?

Yeah Hank is teaching the class. Talked to him on the phone, he seemed like a real nice guy. uguser3- Yeah thats why we bought an ICAM post too. I spent months and endless emails back and forth. Finally they said since we didn't purchase maintence for the post they weren't going to help us any...

    Nedd suggestion on solid modelling

How about this. Not the prettiest way I'm sure but it doesn't look bad and it is using the KISS method.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=645900a6-db16-4727-9686-777ea1122137&file=model1_jbv.prt

Things you'd like to see in CAM

Being able to helical mill a counter bore. And no I don't want to use planar profile and cut 90% of the c'bore with an engage move. Also for the ability of it to output like the following: G0 X5. Y0. Z2. G3 X5. Y0. Z-15. I-5. J0. P17. G3 X5. Y0. I-5. J0. I've done something similar with custom...

Very Basic NX6 Training and Tutorials

Take a look at myigetit.com. I have used this a couple years ago at the company I was at, at that time. It is very good for teaching new empolyee's NX or those that come from other softwares.
