No tapped holes in drw from assy

Djeezes, that simple. Shame on me. In my defense: sometimes you can't see the forest trough the trees with search engines. thanks Chris Noxi SW2008SP4

No tapped holes in drw from assy

Houston, we have a problem. When a drawing is made of a part, the tapped holes are dimensioned as taped holes (ex. M10) When the same part is inserted in an assembly and then a drawing is made, the tapped hole are dimensioned as simple holes (ex. Ø10) even in the assembly itself the tapped...

I can't seem to get the Assembly Feature/Weld Bead.... to work?

Just model the bead as an internal part. I made a material "weld 1", "weld 2" , ... All with appearance black and custom properties. Sometimes we weld assemblys with different and special alloys and so you can even put them in a table to. Noxi SW2008SP4

    sub assembly momotion

EUREKA it works ! thanks guys ! I used fex assy and put an advanced distance mate to the piston to limit the travel. Animation ok Noxi SW2008SP4

    sub assembly momotion

TheTick This seems a good solution. Only problem I have is that the cylinder-assy doesn't move when imported in the main assy. When opened seperatly it slides. When inserted in another assy, every part stays fixed. I did not put anny mate between piston and cylinder. Noxi SW2008SP4

    sub assembly momotion

Hi guys, Here's another one: In an assembly there is an hydraulic cilinder, as a sub-assembly, witch I should be able to move up and down to make the main assembly. This doesn't work obviously! First I assembled the cilinder out of various components. For the piston there is an advanced...

What hardware to choose for SW2008SP4

-Yep, it's still the 32 version of winxp. I'm thinking of changeing to 64. That would be the first step. -The /3GB switch is enabled. -I don't think it's the size. The components with the most troubles are indeed parts and assemblies wich contain helices in circular patterns. Is it worth the...

What hardware to choose for SW2008SP4

Hi, First a brief history how I became a designer in SW: As drawing in autocad started as a hobby I got the chance to become a designer in the company I work. (they went pen and paper to drawing on pc). We bought Solidworks an I took several courses in SW. Everything OK. A few months later the...

    Inserting new part in assembly

Thanks guys, I've tried TheThicks way and it looks satisfieing. Need to do some test further. Why i use top down assy: When drawing knifes for the metal industies, there is alway a male and a female part. So I draw in the top plane of the assembly the basic form of the blade as a sketch (exp...

    Inserting new part in assembly

This might seem a newbee question, becaus i am one. Fist I made sketch 'A' in the assy on the top plane. Then I created a plane 'nr1' parallel to the top plane. Now I want to create a new part on this plane 'nr1', using the sketch 'A' as template with the convert command. When creating a new...
