    PEC, Photo electric cell, A photo beam sensor if you like, that switches when the light reflected between the sensor and a simple reflector is interupted. Sometimes type NPN, but this one can switch up 240v 100mA, Dp, NC/NO. I hope this helps to explain the situation. Thank you.
