    Blue Tinge When Zooming.

No it is a crt monitor. I think noppenbd is right it seems to be a driver problem. Thanks for your replies.

    Blue Tinge When Zooming.

This sounds a bit bizare but when I zoom in and out of a model, the model gets a blue tinge to it. Sometimes a red ghost image is left on the screen also, this actually looks pretty cool, but is getting a bit boring now. I am running a Intense 3D Wildcat Pro 4110 graphics card, and Pro-E version...

    Rotating Components in Assemblies

Have you tried using the fix constraint? I find it usefull for initial assembly of parts.

Creating a model of a nickel in Pro

You could map a jpeg of a nickel onto the face of a very simple extruded protrusion, it would look okay in full colour mode but would just be a blank disc in wireframe. I am not sure about scanning in the profile of a coin, surley it is entering the realms of counterfitting!

    PROBLEMS UPGRADING MEMORY

Hello. I have had a similar problem with managing large asaemblies. I work with large models of sub-sea vehicles, the best machine are 2.8 ghz processors with two gig of ram and the models are still too large. From my research the best way to deal with it is to make the large assembly from...

    Shrinkwrap in Drawings

I stand correcrted! It does work, thanks for the tips guys.

    Shrinkwrap in Drawings

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried the protrusion option but the shrinkwrap is of an assembly and fairly complex and hard to close. The Qlt HLR option is blanked outin drawing mode. I have come to the conclusion that because a surface shrinkwrap is made up of surfaces it can not be...

    Shrinkwrap in Drawings

To try and make some the largest assemblies managable I create simplified reps of external components and then create a surface subset (non-associative). This is great the model is very light and looks identical, only problem is it can only be displayed in purple wirwframe in the drawing, wich...

    Maximum memory Pro-E can use

Cheers guys, I don't think we can change to unix. It is more a case of working Pr0-e more efficiently. "Trying is the first step on the road to failure" Homer Simpson

    Maximum memory Pro-E can use

We have recently accuired some new machines that have slots for up to 8 gig of memory. The computer guy tells me that windows can only handle 2 gig. I say this as we are struggling with large assemblies. I find it hard to believe that we are limited to 2 gig of memory. Does anyone now if it...

    4-BUTTON MOUSE

I use a 5 button Microsoft Intellimouse Optical Mouse. I use the drivers provided, and set the two extra buttons to ctrl and shift. This enables me to eat my sandwiches whilst still working. Preiviously I was experience some cheese sandwich and mouse interface problems!

    Views of a Mechanism

Cheers for the responces guys. I am not sure how to make a family table work with a mechanism as I cannot select the values to alter the position of the model. The snapshot worked well, I would never have thought of using exploded state!

    Views of a Mechanism

I have created a mechanism and it moves and it is nice. I would like to illustrate the range of travel on my drawing, is there a way I can show the mechanism in two different positions in two seperate views, and keep the views parametric? Cheers.

    Slow Mapkeys

I can't help you with your setup etc, but a usefull config.pro option is visable_mapkeys. If you are useing the right hand side menu in your mapkeys, then picks on it will not be displayed. It may speed up your mapkeys a little, unfortunatley it does not work on the pull down menus, so it is of...

    Family Table Displayed in Drawing

Thanks for the quick response guys, it works as you say. The table seems a little fragile though, when deleting or adding instances from the family table, the table in the drawing reverts back to its original 4 box status, but with the correct information in the boxes!! Does anyone else have...

    Family Table Displayed in Drawing

Does anyone know how to display a family table in a drawing.

    3D CROSS SECTION

How do you create a 3d cross section in a drawing, i.e. a view that is ISO. I have failed so far and the only way I can think to do it is to create a cut through half of the part, and blank it off in other views, this is messy and has the potential for disaster!

    Mapkeys??

I tried to run Pro-E on ME and it worked for a while but then strange stuff started happening and it would not work with more than two windows open. I have heard a lot of bad things about ME so I got rid of it and installed XP instead, Pro-E works fine on this. Do you know how to bring icons...

    Pipe centerline

How do you switch off the centerline in a pipe? I've tried drawing config, enviroments and layers, nothing seems to work, not even blaking in the drawing

    Pitch Circle Diameter Dimensioning

When creating a circular pattern of holes on a part I use dimension and angle pattern, this works very well. The machine shop though require co-ordinate dimensions. I could convert the pattern to a table (so co-ordinate dimensions are displayed on the drawing), but if i wanted to change the hole...
