I apologise for the double post but after reading my first one correction was needed & i am unsure how to edit it.
I require a constant flow of 12cu/mtrs of air per minute at 1.4bar & require help to calculate to power required to achieve this..
I need a discharge of 12cu/mtrs of air in 1 minute at a pressure of 1.4 bar, could someone assist me with the calulations to find to total power required in kW to achieve this.
Cheers
Hello,
When an Inductor is disconnected from a power supply does the magnetic field produced by it reverse in polarity like the voltage does?
If so what Law describes this?
Thanks for the guide to some useable products, i will look into this.
Yes, i agree that some soft types of metals may well be the way to go, it's the lubrication quality that has me stumped on this issue at the moment.
I was thinking that soft seals may not be as abrasive as some metals on the...
Hi Pat,
Temperature at the sealing surface i will try to keep as low as possible & i would think it will be around the 300 to 400 deg C hopefully less. The actual heat source temp will be higher but an attempt will be made to cool the sealing surface.
At this stage the loading factor is an...
I am in the process of designing & machining an Alpha Stirling engine, as most are aware there is a HOT cylinder & a cold cylinder.
My question is in regards to the hot cylinder & what suitable materials can be used for Cylinder Bores & Piston Rings or Seals with lubrication free operation...
I have an AC circuit that pulses a coil for an experiment, the circuit is sensitive to the inductance of the coil & has a small range in which it will work, outside & either side of this range it refuses to work.
I want to increase the Flux density of the coil but working within this small...
It is the Pulse Induction Technology i am interested in & the Target Response Frequency as mentioned.
Could not find any information on the particular subject at the link posted.
Hi All,
Thought this may be the correct forum seeing it is to do with em waves.
Firstly this is NOT homework etc but something i found on the internet that i need some help with. It is for the frequency response of subsurface metal targets. IE Metal Detectors etc.
My take on this as with some...
I am looking for a site or advice with the correct Inductance Calculations & Dimensions for the calculations for Random wound air coils.
Do i use the same calculations as single layer spiral coils, there are many different inductance calculations for flat wound spiral, multilayer etc but i am...

I would like to setup a coil field examiner to test the strength of magnetic fields from metal detector coils.
First up
Is there a difference between AC & DC magnetic field detection equipment?
What is the best cost effective method to do this simply, is there a simple circuit i can use to get...
IceStationZebra,
Thanks for that, the sustained degree numbers are helpful.
The bigger problem i have is the fitting of extractors & reading the EGT without mulitple probes & or drilling & tapping holes in each primary pipe.
I have thought of tuning with the std type manifolds first & then...
Thanks hemi,
Yes, i understand where your coming from & your correct with your answer but just wondering if we could generalise the questions to gain a broader approach rather than an exact science so to speak. Say it was guesswork what approach should we take?
Thanks
What is the best position to mount a thermocouple for EGT readings in NON Turbo Diesel applications.
Some variables apply i know like Extractors, in this case is the collector the best position. I suppose this is self explanitory without individual thermocouples for each cylinder.
Also STD...
