Im pretty sure that, everytime you save a part in pro/e, it'll save it as .prt.1, .prt.2, etc... So as SrGillberto said, make sure your Pro/E session is cleared, and find the one you want. Save it. That'll will beomce the most recent save. When you open the assembly, pro/e will take the...
jebiselcuka,
thanks for what ever that did, considering i still cant save as an .stp file, but somehow defining that as yes, made the iges files stay the parent color. wierd.
dgallup,
yea, thats what i also thought, cuz i had wf3 before this and clearly saw .stp, .step file extentions. Now the reason i got the upgrade, is because my computer crashed and burned, hard, haha. So i got my bosses cpu, and he got the new one, not im complainin, this thing is crazy...
hmmm...i cant seem to be able to have the option. Am i doin this right, im going to save a copy, and then looking down in the drop-down for the stp, or step, and cant find either. Im using wf5.0.
How ya doin,
My problem is that i have a modular terminal block, that needs to be color coded. So i have my assy color coded, saved, and ready to be converted. To check that the assy colors work right, i closed the window, erase all non-display, open it back up and the colors are there. Now...
I use AutoCAD strictly for 2D work and creating .pdfs
I use Pro/Engineer for all my 3D work and print generations, then ill transfer into AutoCAD to add all the notes and dimensions. Allthough Pro/E does have a simple and easy ot use 2D program, the 3D is their bread and butter.
Hey Thanks guys,
I was pokling around access to try and find something, (very stuborn german, haha). I hate giving up. But yea, when i was switching things around in design mode, i happen to stumble upon the "Limit to List" option.
And yes, i did have te relationships between the two...
Hey,
I was assigned to biuld an ECO database right. Im not all that good with Access, but i think i did alright. I have one table that retreives data from another table through the use of a list box. The information is coming from a Master P/N table. The table that is retreiving the info is...
Sorry for the lack of details. I have attached a copy of the file below. i want to be able to have it so that "sheet 1" shows all the p/n from the other sheets with the same value to show up in its respectice column on "sheet 1"
So all the p/n's that are "animated" show up in the animated...

Hey Everyone,
I've had my job now for just under 2 years. As much as the compnay has been great to me (small businesses are the best for young people), I've been craving something more than just being a CAD junky. I still want to work with CAD programs (especially Pro/E and AutoCAD), i guess...

thanks for all who spent the time to read this. I was put in charge of organizing our database of pro/e files. (what a drag, seriouslly) The guy who started this database was missing a little something upstairs if you know what i mean. But in any case, we have assemblies, components...
We normally do use the monochrome print option. But the lines will still come out very light. I've tried playing with the pen weights and all that jazz. But to no avail.

Hi All,
this is a quicky, in pro/e ill create multiple components and save them in seperate folders depending on what they are (contacts, plastics, screws...).
When i created the assembly, everything was nice and dandy no hiccups. But now when i try to open that assembly, it always comes...
Ok, i dont know why this happens, but it doesnt happen on every import. ill export from pro/e as a .dxf format. Open it in autocad and print. All the lines will come out fine, the correct line weights and thicknesses. But randonmly ill open and print one, and the lines are completely off...
