Is there and easy way to check which version is installed on a PC. We have a 64 bit PC that is supposed to be loaded w/ 64 bit NX5, and I just need to verify that it isn't the 32 bit version.
Is there a place that I can hard code the material shrinkage factor for mold wizard. It currently defaults to 1.00 and we'd like to change that to something else. We generally use one material type, so hard coding the value to our shrinkage would be quite helpful.

I've been digging through this script, and it looks like cgmbuilder sets the defaults in the cgm export window. Is there another function taht can be called in NX5 that does this? If not, is there a way to make these settings without cgmbuilder? I'm not sure when/if we are going to switch to...
We are having a discussion over whether 304 stainless and 18/8 are the same material. My arguement is that 18/8 is the "family" and 304 is a member of the family along with 304L, 304H, 302...
basically, 304 stainless is an 18/8 steel, but 18/8 is not 304.

the directory we point to has a file in called templates.pax that lists the template files in it. I assume I need to put another file in the directory, but I'm not sure what to name it.
In NX5 we have set a custom environment variable UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR= (directory) to point to modeling start parts. I would like to add a tab to point to manufacturing start parts and drafting start parts that will utilize the master modeling approach. Does anyone know how to go about starting...

Yes, they are ascii combinations. For instance, if your font is iso1, and you type alt+0176 you get ° (the degree symbol). You can find the alt combinations in windows character map. NOTE: not all characters are supported.
One more question on symbols and fonts. This time it pertains to attributes. If i put, for instance the $r in my attributes, for a diameter symbol, that are used in title blocks I actually get $r in the text line that is on my print. Any way around this?

We have NX3 running on one server and NX5 running on a seperate server. If I do a server status query to see which licenses are being used it looks at the NX3 server. is there a way to change the server that it is looking at? We've tried looking around, but can't seem to find anything.
