No good news for Ermaksan fiber 2kw

Hi JeanFreli, I assume you are using a Precitec cutting torch on this machine which will have a collimator at the top of the torch. This consists of 2 small lenses which can be raised or lowered by a dial on the front face. Above this collimator unit is where the Fibre Optic cable...

    Mazak Laser STX-48 Champion

When resonator mirrors are replaced the external beam alignment will be out and needs re-alignment. When u say he is getting no beam out do you mean no beam directly out of the resonator? He will tune the mode and callibrate the power directly out of the resonator and when this is done he...

    Mazak Laser STX-48 Champion

Where is the spot? inside or outside face of mirror. Any way best to call Mazak and getthem to service it. 5000hrs is a long time between service but this is a strong point of the Mazak it will keep on going but if you leave it too long then problems like this are not picked up and if left can...

Glad you got to the bottom of it. Was it the Mazak tech guys that pointed you at the problem, did you find it yourself or was it our help? Take it you are happy with the machine being the boss and enjoying "getting to run your favourite machine"?

    Prima Issues

I can get some more in depth info for you on the primas off a colleague that used to work specifically on there 5 axis machines . For some the actual size/footprint of the machine is important and the Primas are a big machine where as the Mazak is a more compact unit but if you are processing...

    Prima Issues

it depends on the application you need to use it for of course. the prima machine use a prc laser which is a pretty good unit but the machine itself lets it down. the mazak uses a panasonic resonator which is a good solid reliable unit and the machine itself in my opinion is one of the best...

    Prima Issues

No problem. Have you looked at any other machines like the Mazak Space Gear or is cost the main driver in your choice?

    Prima Issues

They are cheap and cheaply made, the service department are always busy so that in itself should tell you something. Is it a 5 axis or 2D that you are looking at?

Mazak Space Gear G48 Mirror Alignment

I believe Graham no longer works for Mazak but if you need to contact them we have found them more than helpfull and with the space gear you can do a lot of damage to the torch and external mirrors if you do not get the alignment carried out correctly (if the internal alignment gets adjusted...

    mazak hypergear 510

Hi, never used si cam but one thing that can give you an eia/iso error is that paramters #101 and #102 need to be set to 1.0000. These are part counts from a previous program and if they have not been set back to 1.0000 and you then try to load in a new program you will get the eia/iso error.

    FMS Drifting Problem

The 2 large air cylinders on the load/unload sides have a built in brake unit on the bottom part of the cylinder. After time these can start to fail causing the unit to drop. Have you checked this part of the system?
