    Aluminium cable lugs

Hello I have the cable lugs Al-Cu in an installation I would like to know if the attached tool for crimping is okay or if it should be hexagonal. Any insight would be much appreciated...

    Low voltage switchgear colors

yea agree that factory might charge a lot on cleaning the powder equipment to change the paint color. Thanks

    Low voltage switchgear colors

Hi! We have 400V and 690V MCCs painted RAL7035, several inside an electrical room. New panel is coming for UPS distribution feeds (two or three columns of fuses and MCBs inside) to be installed in the same electrical room, and I wonder if those shall be specified different color. Switchboard...

    Sizing conductor rail of cranes

Yeah I was googling but couldn't get any information on busbar systems to somehow check if there is a money issue only or if it's is technical process wants to have both cranes reach all the lenght

    Sizing conductor rail of cranes

Hi all, new 2 overhead cranes of 500 meters travel on the same busbar rail needs 900A feeding. the plan is to feed from 3 different points due to voltage drop. Voltage is 400V. we requested single feeding but they state it's technically impossible. what do you think on this? it is like that...

insulation monitor device for small cables

    thank you very much!!!!!!

insulation monitor device for small cables

one more thing is that those 230Vac are Live and Neutral. i've seen insulation monitors for ungrounded systems but this is not the case..

insulation monitor device for small cables

Hi all, we are thinking if there's some insulation monitor for cables. They carry 230Vac, that are for a contact of safety switch in field. The cable construction is with armour. thanks in advance!!!!

instrument transmitter circuit breaker 1 pole or 2 pole???

Hi all, we are planning to install some ph, magnetic flowmeters and other instruments with powered transmitters, all of them with 230Vac supply for transmitter, this mains 230Vac coming from dedicated UPS switchboard. All of the transmitters have own passive 4-20mA output connected to DCS. The...

DNP3 ethernet communication problem MV relays

hello, we have here small distribution switchgear 33kV, each breaker has it's own relay (Schneider VAMP Relay 255) connected to SCADA by DNP3 over ethernet (10MBps) all vamps goes to standard Cisco switch, ethernet cable is category 6 UTP, no shielding, vamps earth connection checked and so...

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

looks it arrived here the stuff! acs800 - 120A - 690V with dU/dT filter (not sine) 15kW motors 690V x 5 application: FAN 5 motors in parallel, each with it's corresponding mot protection switch and contactor. well I was taking a look at the application, and suggested to remove output motor...

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

yes motor prot switch should disable drive, you're right. thanks to all kind regads, martin

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

I wonder if measuring thermal protection CT's must be iron core or hall effect. mainly thinking on this higher power application. regs, martin.

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

LionelHutz good advice!!! This I don't regard as big problem BUT they want to put 5 (five!!!) 15kW motors in parallel... so I was around this issue mainly because they want to do the same application but larger power in a couple of months!! I didn't know of this problem but electricians have...

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

Thank you very much for your answers. this MCC came as shown from factory but even though distance is short there must be something else. I measured with an AC clamp true rms, 0,9-1,1 amps and I regard this as very low current to overheat the motor protection switches. The heat is true, you...

AC Drive tripping motor protection switch heat problem

Hello! we have here one AC drive (ABB ACS800) that has four (4) motor in parallel. The drive is 16amps and the motors are 0,75kw 1amp 690V each. each output from the drive to the motor has an individual motor protection switch, sized to 1,6Amps the thing is that te motor protection switch are...

very large tanks control strategy quesion

Peter, yes the lenght of the array I cannot change in this DCS... for the flow, I guess changing the flow value is more important than how much flow is in. Operators always say "speeding up" is worse than anything. well i have something to work on, lets see what happens. regards, martin.
