    u r right Steve. we can have the trail file set to a folder through config file and can be run whenever needed can be edited using notepad and saved). but for big models its not a success always. (maybe 70%) thilak. regards thilak

    hi gross Did u try making the feature independent in the copygeom geometry. this gets detached from the assembly that u have taken the surfaces or whatever. the relation can even be taken back when needed by making it dependent.(if the assembly is opened in the session) Thilak
