    Speaking indirectly to employees

Yea I wasn't like trying to hear the other side of the argument here because let's face it, there isn't one. I really just want to know what this behavior is called...what it's name is. -Plasmech Mechanical Engineer, Plastics Industry

    Speaking indirectly to employees

Does anyone run into this: completly random example here... Boss thinks you're spending too much time on the phone (again, this is a very "randomized" example). Instead of confronting YOU about your phone time, he complains to you about your co-worker John Doe who works in another facility...

Anyone else fall into this trap?

Being able to pass on the "busywork" torch along to someone else is something that I would think almost always takes a lot more than 2 years to happen, and often times it may never happen. Are you 2 years out of the university? -Plasmech Mechanical Engineer, Plastics Industry

The proverbial guy who steals the show at the end of the project

Perhaps part of the problem, if there really is a problem...OK let's say "part of the major annoyance", is that if we all throw our hands up and say "that's just the way it is", then in fact that's just the way it will always be... -Plasmech Mechanical Engineer, Plastics Industry

The proverbial guy who steals the show at the end of the project

In my opinion it really is beyond just annoying. It's infuriating, and it can bring out he worst in people. But, as was stated above, one can always find another snake pit to work in. -Plasmech Mechanical Engineer, Plastics Industry

The proverbial guy who steals the show at the end of the project

Anybody deal with this one... You're the head guy on a project. Maybe the only guy. You're busting your butt getting drawings done, stuff spec'd out, parts ordered, in on time, fabricated, basically everything that the machine is well...it "is" becauuse you exist and for no other reason. You...

    Burning all my vendor bridges

Does anybody else ever have this problem: you get put on a project that's got a fire lit under it. Draw everything up, get the off-the-shelf parts quoted from your vendors. Some of this quote work involves engineering consultation itself or even people flying in to see the application. You...

    Engineering job titles

Thanks guys. LOL so "Senior Engineer" doesn't really mean much of anything other than you've been there the longest which again means...nothing in some (not all of course) cases. "Head Engineer" really seems obe the only title that means much of anything. -Plasmech Mechanical Engineer...
