I have a drawing where the primary dimension is in feet and inches but I need to have a duel dimension in millimeters rounded to the nearest 5. That is 5 or 0 in whole numbers not decimals; i.e. 32’-6” = 9906mm rounds to 9905mm.
You don’t insert the eDrawings file; you insert the controller via the developer tool (see above). Then you right click the frame and select “Properties”. Here you can point to the file name (FileName) and you also need to set the interface options (EnableFeatures). I removed my eDrawing from...
No the file is O.K., it was how I was inserting it. You cannot just insert the file (as an object), rather you need to insert the eDrawings controller, then point to the file under its properties (RMB). The hard part is finding how to insert the controller. You have to show the “Developer”...
I’m trying to insert an eDrawing (2009) into a PowerPoint (2007) presentation and it shows up as a static picture. While editing the slides I can rotate and zoom but in the slideshow it is just static. When I insert it I can no longer insert the controller (then point to the file in the...
I’ve used a series of assembly cuts to illustrate the assembly sequence of a sub-assembly. I have a configuration for each step with the cuts being un-suppressed. I had to do it this way because several of the “parts” are really areas of one solid body. When I go to animate it the assembly...
I think I got it figured out, we have a network install and the SNL Manager is installed on the server in IT. That’s why I could not find it in my Add/Remove Programs list. I’ll do the SolidWorks upgrade on my machine and IT will upgrade the SNL Manager.
BTW – We only have 2 seats and are...
I have a top down assembly that became corrupt so I had to go to the back-up file from the day before. There is a part that was created in-context after the save date of the assembly that I would like to use (not have to re-create). The parts’ shape is determined by other parts in the...
When moving between formats I sometimes find it useful to use translator program. I found a free one called AccuTrans 3D here: http://www.micromouse.ca/.
No go on the Save-As. I was able to make an assy from the TL assy but was unable to save it as well. This is a top-down assembly where most parts are defined by a couple of sketches’ and billion planes so I’m trying to avoid recreating it.
I found a corrupt part (it was a mirrored Part) and deleted it but, alas, it appears that the assembly itself is corrupt. I don’t want to close it, I’m afraid I won’t be able to open it again.
This is the first time I got this message, like I said, I’ve had the Failure to Save thing but this is different. I guess I could open save and close all the parts, just there is a bunch (5-600) and I was being lazy.
