Arrggghh, Checkout the new iPhone...out tomorrow http://tinyurl.com/2y7zwe Wonder what display that is...probably OLED but...with a touchscreen ! WatchJohn

    Smallest LCD/LED-module character/dot display ???

. OK no problemo...thanks ! One thing with OLED´s is that it takes a second to switch them on...meaning...if it´s off because you want to save power...it will take a second to get a picture,so you could miss some information, that could be overcome by storing/buffering whatever info there was...

    Smallest LCD/LED-module character/dot display ???

. Hi itsmoked, > "a second to update" I dont know about that ...how can they play smooth video then? ...that is at least between 10 to 30 frames per second !! Maybe you have seen a demo where someone tried to show a 3D model that was moving...and it maybe was slow because the model was...

    Smallest LCD/LED-module character/dot display ???

. Thanks, The displays in the Digikey catalog are either to big or they are not alphanumeric...also i have a problem understanding exactly what the sizes of the modules are as far as i can see now...nothing for me unless i´m overlooking something. The displays from that German company...

    Smallest LCD/LED-module character/dot display ???

. Thanks Keith, Checked out both companies...they have NO off-the-shelf 4 digit, alphanumeric or dotmatrix display ...that comes close to mentioned small size ...maybe i have overlooked it ? LED would be fine... i wouldn´t care..they could be better readable in the light)no backlight needed)...

    Smallest LCD/LED-module character/dot display ???

. Hi, For my wristwatch sized bugdetector i need a very small display(module)...it should be: a) Small as possible something like 20 mm x 10 mm x 3 mm b) 4 characters (alphanumeric or even better dotmatrix) c) Low voltage 5 V or better less d) Low power draw 100mA or better much less...

FSK or just serial digital data.

DTMF "Dual Tone Multi Frequency" can also be used to transmit (very slow) data. DTMF transmitter and receiver chips are available for less then 1 U$ They will give you at least 10 codes that can be transmitted over great lengths as simple audio. Transceivers (RX and TX in 1 chip) are also...

Very low power miniature motor control

I can´t remember the exact name but their seems to be a technique where the power drawn by an electrical motor is observed..it seems that pulses can be observed on the power line those pulses represent the motor-speed and are in turn used to control the engine speed ...so it´s some kind of...

    Antenna for Video-Camera-Detector (15 khz)

. Shure it seems easy to find cams that produce non-standard formats. But at the moment these are not offered at the regular outlets for video-spy-equipment. i´ve seen thousands of such websites and they don´t have them...for various reasons: 1) To expensive. 2) No pinhole/covert lens...

    Antenna for Video-Camera-Detector (15 khz)

. Yes...in case of non-analog or non-NTSC or non-PAL or non SECAM ...etc it won´t work. But.... Check out the 1000 spyshops on the net and show me 1 miniature/pinhole camera with a real digital ouput (non NTSC or PAL) So in 99.99999% a analog camera is going to be used..when we are...

    Antenna for Video-Camera-Detector (15 khz)

. Hi Dan, That was a very fast answer ! (4 minutes) Why don´t you give it a try ? Take your shortwave-receiver or connect a line to your soundcard and download some spectrum analyzing software. Start with a few turns around the video-cable ...close to the camera. The point is that: CMOS...

    Antenna for Video-Camera-Detector (15 khz)

. I need a antenna for a Video-Camera-Detector ...this is not just for wireless cams but for all cams...specially the !! WIRED !! The detector is in fact a receiver for the horizontal-sync frequency used by all video-cameras and other video-equipment For NTSC that is 15734 HZ (15,7 khz)...

Array of antennas for 80 MHz

. It depends on your DF-equipment usually they come with (4)antennas included and instructions on how to adjust them to freq. For 80 Mhz best results would give 1/4 wave whips...so they would be around 1 meter each. Best to space antennas at minimal 1/2 wavelength ...wich is 2 meters....less...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. IRstuff said: > "High end bugs don't continuously broadcast, > "specifically to avoid detection by standard > "RF detection methods. Yep...those are called "Burst-transmitters" Just as with digital or encrypted bugs...these are not common available or in use by the greater public...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. Hello again, > "The world's first 10 kg (22 lb) 'wristwatch" Believe it or not...but i have most of the device already designed..and it is indeed the size of a wristwatch...not even that redicioulous big currently i think it will be 40mm Diameter x 18 mm High Fortunately i realised that...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. Hi VE1BLL, It´s really another story and needs a thread on its own. But a short answer to your comment: I can´t have 1 single small antenna for 1 Mhz to 10 Ghz so i devide that range into 4 practical pieces for each i can make an antenna that will cover such piece. bands are devide...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. Ok...i understand all arguments...thanks ! digital-pots seem to be the best solution But let me explain a little more: --------------------------------- Indeed it is for my "Wristwatch-Sized-Bugdetector" That thing is going to have a very wide frequency-range from at least 1 Mhz to 10...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. Thanks Keith, I understand your suggestions and i´m shure it will work. ...but i am looking for a solution where i would only have to use one single digital pot I see you perfectly understand what i want to do. For others i just thought of another way to better explain what i am looking...

    Panning over 4 audio-channels using only 1 pot ?

. Hi, It`s a little difficult to explain: I have 4 audiochannels (mono) I have 1 amplifier to make them audible I want to use only 1 potmeter to mix/pan them to the amplifier. Lets say these are the 4 channels 1...2...3...4 Ideally i like to be able to "pan" over the channels to hear...

    How to calcualte antenna separation?

. Sounds like you have 2 W-lan cards connected to a PC and they have 2 external antennas. "How far apart"...you ask To achieve what ? a) To not interfere ?...meaning 1 TX troubeling the other RX ? ...theoretically as much as possible distance. ...in practice as long as the cables allow...
