My company has decided to buy M1 instead of Teamcentre, against my advise for caution.
Has anyone any experience with this? will it work the same as Teamcentre
I'm on windows 7. here's the thing.....its an old 5000 series spaceball (usb) and on the other 2 m/c's here, none of the buttons will work, where as on this m/c (originally running NX6) I somehow got the buttons working, even tho the software was the same on all m/c's.
So, I'm trying to fix it...
I've tried the variable path to both locations and either seems to do anything at all.
I've overwritten the 2 env.dat files with the NX8 ones, and even that didn't fix it.
What it did do tho was slow the spaceball sensitivity down, which I also noticed when I'd installed NX10 as well.
I looked for the .dll and it's not located in the base dir the enviro var was looking for it.
Instead, there is one in 64bit prog files, and another in the x86 prog files.
I'm not sure which one its using, how could I find out?
I changed the enviro to point to the 64bit prog files location, but...
thanks for the replys,
In my environment variables I have UGII_3DCONNEXION_LIBRARY = %UGII_BASE_DIR%\ugalliance\vendor\startup\3DxNX.dll
Its the RMB and also the mapped button on my spaceball that no longer work, to get this message , since moving to NX10, from 8 (same m/c, both versions...
Rare earth...only 1 parts list, updating the parts list DOESN'T correct the AUTO ballon ID, if its been moved to a different component. (try it!)
Cowski, that last journal would be a great help, but unfortunately, I'm using NX10. maybe i'll try using your second journal, and stick to manual...
I logged an ER exactly 6 years ago, To get the auto balloon function improved, but it still hasn't been fixed.
The problem is that the auto balloons are NOT associative. If you re attach the leader to a different component an update will NOT fix the call out number, as it will do if you use...
Hi,
I'm ready to upgrade our system from NX8 to NX10, is there any need to do a refile on all the parts?
I did it when we moved from NX6 to NX8, so we've done the lightweight thing..
Cowski,
Thanks very much that worked floorlessly, much appreciated.
That will be very useful,
I edited the code to add other attributes for me and it worked well.
I tried to put more than one in the same Journal, but couldn't get it to work, so did them separately instead.
Also thanks to...
Cowski,
that's fine if the expression doesn't exist.
When I create a mirrored wave link part, I assemble the parent into it, do the link, then remove it from the reference set, I guess this could be the problem.
I only did a quick test last night, now I've noticed it only catches some of the...
SelvarajC,
Still got an error I'm afraid, here's the screenshot.
I'm using NX8 by the way, you probably picked that up from the original journal tho..http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=c90a4d6b-75d7-49b6-b975-46ef3c0d98fb&file=cs_file_error.JPG
Thanks so much guys for helping me out....
Cowski, the journal works, but is there a way to get it to dig down into the sub assemblies?
it only works on the workpart assembly, some components I have are mirror wave links (with the parent assembled in the part), I have to be workpart on those as...
thanks, I had a look at that one but it adds the attribute to all files in the assembly, this will need to check the files for the expression first, else it'll error.
Could someone please help modify this journal to run in an assembly.
I've got hundreds of files to run it on, and it'd be much better if the journal could run from the top level assembly, looking for all files with this expression, and adding the linked attribute accordingly.
This is so I can...
