The VLOOKUP formulas are referring to the correct table range, and the values in the table range are correct. The problem is that the values are not being reported in the cells containing the VLOOKUP formulas.
First of all, a large table of data is copied into the worksheet "Option Chain"...
The data is copied from a table on a website and pasted into a data table in the spreadsheet. What's comfusing about it is that it worked the first time, but not the second. Any ideas?
Thanks.
I have an Excel spreadsheet with multiple cells using the VLOOKUP function. The data queried changes week to week, so the data table has to be cleared out and new data copied into it each week. I imported a data table into the spreadsheet first, then wrote the formulas in a separate worksheet...
If your pump station has submersible pumps as indicated, there is no suction piping and the liquid level is always above the pump intake. Therefore the liquid is not lifted to the pump and NPSHA (Net Positive Suction Head Available) doesn't come into play because NPSHR (Net Positive Suction...
My firm has done the site engineering for a manufacturing facility that has a loading dock / truck circulation area with concrete paving. Our plans specify 6" thick, 4,000 psi concrete with 6 x 6 / W6.5 x W6.5 WWF for the pavement section. The concrete paved area is 86 feet wide x 169 feet...
Given the potential problems associated with an inverted siphon and the long term costs of monitoring, cleaning, etc., why not lower or raise the water line to accommodate the sewer at its desired profile?
With respect to the "right-of-way" definition, although I am neither a lawyer nor a surveyor, it is generally accepted that a right-of-way is land that is actually owned "fee simple" by the public entity, be it a municipality, a state, or federal government. That public...
To calculate the 25% PMF, use 25% or 1/4 of the PMP (Probable Maximum Precipitation) as the rainfall inut in your hydrograph model. The resulting peak discharge will be the 25% PMF.
Thanks RWF7437, but I need to calculate forces acting on the peirs and sewer line, ultimately to determine the bending moment acting on the piers, not a water surface profile.
I am designing a sewer outfall line that crosses a stream just downstream of a dam. I plan to support the sewer line on steel piers, and will use rigid restrained joint ductile iron pipe. I need help on determining the lateral forces acting on the piers and sewer line resulting from flowing...

Typical permeability values for HDPE membrane liners is on the order of 1x10^-13 cm/sec. Evaporation can certainly be a factor, but if the pond has experienced a sustained "loss" rate of 2.88 cm/day, there is probably another reason. You probably have a punctured liner or a...

In modeling riser/barrel type outlet structures, you must calculate flows for the barrel and the riser separately using the head produced on each element by the water surface elevation in the reservoir. The riser should be calculated for both weir and orifice flow conditions. Weir...
In addition to the water hammer problem, a velocity of 30 ft/sec produces a tremendous amount of frictional force (dynamic head)that must be overcome. If you are pumping the water this equates to a much higher required pump horsepower: higher up front cost as well as higher operational cost...
What you are searching for is the void ratio or void % of the stone mass in place. A few years ago I contacted the North Carolina DOT materials tesing lab and asked the same question. I was told a good average void ratio for #57 washed stone is 40%. It will vary slightly from sample to sample...
