    Via-hole balun

Does someone have any article explaining the concept of "Vial-hole balun" used incorporated in printed dipole antenns.

Best way of impedance measurement ?

More specific, is there away to minimize measurement errors due to the measurement itself (deembedding) ?

Best way of impedance measurement ?

What is the best way to measure the impedance(S11 with network analyzer), (for example the output matched impedance of a PA) at high frequencies (above 5 GHz) with the minimum errors due to low impedance, parasitic capacitance, and soldered connector influence ?

How to simulate single/coupled ring resonators in HFSS?

Hi, I found one article that explains his procedure for determining the k. It states that "Two peaks specified by the two resonators were tuned to be equal height and the valley (between them) was set to be at least 10 dB lower" The article is : "Performance of high-temperature superconducting...

How to simulate single/coupled ring resonators in HFSS?

Dear godsound, You should distinct between two operations : (1) Extracting the external Q, Where you should use tapped lines if you're going to use them in your design. (2) Extracting the k (coupling coefficient ) ,where you should put the ports as to not load the resonators.

How to simulate single/coupled ring resonators in HFSS?

I'm investigating the same topic. As much as I know ,for the coupling coefficient (k) to be extracted you should couple each of the two ports weakly to each of the two resonators.

    Coupling Coeficient Extraction

Hi, I'm trying to do an EM simulation (HFSS) to extract the coupling coeficients of coupled resonators used as building block for a filter design using Jia-Sheng Hong & Michael J. Lancaster. This method extract the coupling coeficient from the S21 response using two resonance frequencies. The...
