something else I should ask, Is this possible to do with Teamcenter Express forms? i.e. can I populate information in a form on TCx and have it populate the drawing border from a callout?

If I create a customer property, in this instance called 'SITE' and fill it using info from the propseed file, I'd like to fill it with something that looks like this:
'ABC blahblahblah'
Then on the drawing border I'd like to have a callout which gives the 'SITE' variable, but only...
It may not be any help, but here is the list of things I do when installing a newer version of Edge -
Change the button size on toolbars (tools, options, helpers)
Turn on sketch relationship colours
Turn on 'indicate under-constrained profiles' in Edge bar
Correctly set up the File Locations to...
Ok, a few others....
use 'A' and 'L' to swap between an arc and a line for quicker sketching.
V20 - 'm' will jump to midsection, 'i' to the intersection, 'e' to the end and 'c' to the centrepoint.
smart dimension - using a or shift will toggle dimension types.
I'd recommend a few simple things which may not be turned on automatically - Sketch Relationship Colours (on one of the drop down menus) so you can see when you've fully constrained a profile. and 'Indicate under-constrained profiles in the edge bar' (under the tools/options)
The other 'niggle' I have with the Free package is that it can't be installed on the same machine as a viewer or express reviewer.
So those who want to produce sketches/autocad style drawings, can do so, but they can't look at a 3D model...
If you don't have any other UGS products installed, go to regedit and delete all entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics
That should allow you to re-install Edge...

The only way I've found is to save the logo as a texture, set up a style, apply that texture (make sure that textures are turned on!)

I'm watching this with interested as we too have recently bought a Dell 690 with similiar spec for a SE large assemblies, and ANSYS work....
I've installed 64bit SE, will let you know if we get any performance data (interestingly enough it was 5 times quicker on opening a large assembly...

Scott, have you tried, with or without success to save a Solid Edge Draft file as a different file format, say DWG.
I've opened it from TCx but when I change the file type on the save as dialog, all the options disappear and I can't seem to save it as any thing other than a dft. :s

We're only using it for Edge files, not global document control (unfortunately that still goes on Sharepoint).
so far, with regards to legacy data, I've uploaded one complete project, and I'm not planning on uploading much more...

I've just invested around £40k in software - licences for users etc. Plus additional outlay for servers, backups, disaster recovery etc.
