Autodesk Electrical comes with our Inventor 2013 package. Which we have not used in three years, we do want to use some cable routing software. Question is: Should it be Mentor Graphics or Autodesk Electrical?

Thanks for your answer imcjoek,
My idea turned out not to be true for everyone. See the following site. I think someone from Autodesk wrote it.

I have a solution for us. Our large assembly would crash every time anyone of us would check a drawing into the vault.
What I am wondering (because our tech support is coming to visit Friday) is anyone else having this problem with Inventor?

My vote is yes it is worth the time and effort to install and use the Vault.
Everyone can use common parts.
Content Center is very valuable
Search makes the Vault worth it just by itself.
Backups in a vault have been a life saver for me. I know all your engineers make diligent Backups every...

A very big star for you. Works great. I can not thank you enough. Our VAR still has not gotten back to me on this one. I am going to wait it out, see what the VAR says, or maybe not.

mcgyvr,
I would love to explain what I am trying to do.
I inserted a Hole Table with 28 holes in one view. The XDIM and YDIM all come in as 2 place decimals, for hole locations our standard tolerance is 3 place decimals.
Here is what I have to do on just one drawing 56 times.

Thank you so very much for the Autodesk Vault Manufacturing add in for SolidWorks video.
We are currently using Autodesk Vault Workgroup 2011. I am going to check the add-in's right now.

Wojtek,
I have thousands of SolidWorks parts and assemblies that I am going to move from SolidWorks PDM Vault into Inventor Workgroup Vault.
Let’s say parts A.ipt, B.ipt, and C.ipt are checked into Inventor Workgroup Vault.
Then I start to check in Assembly 123456.iam, now this assembly is using...

Thank you for your reply. I am using the Ctrl F dialog to search for a part number the browser. The problem I am having is finding the highlighted part that is buried into a subassembly of a subassembly of a subassembly.

I know the part number of the part I am looking for in the Browser. Click the Find button and fill in the data. Then I pick Find Now, Inventor finds the part buried deep in an assembly. It is not automatically brought into my site. I have to expand all then manually scroll down the tree.

Do you know how to easy check into Vault from imported assembly? When several parts have been imported and saved as Inventor .ipt ? Inventor keeps wanting me to replace the parts with same number on my local drive, with parts that are in the vault.
