Again, how does something burn in an oxygen free environment?

Power from waste - What do you think of this ?

With Pyrolysis, there would be no ash since combustion did not take place. You are left with carbon black, which can be used for filters, ink, pigment, etc. I worked at a facility in the early 90's that had 2 such machines. We processed all plastics, tires, and municipal waste. Our end...

    Raises?

My raise was 3.8%. Supposedly, this was for cost of living and performance review. Didn't get a breakdown of how much for each.

    pH probes

We have many pH/ORP applications in our plant. We consistantly have reliability issues on our process streams with a high sodium content. We have used Foxboro Dolphin series, ASTI, and Yokogawa. Anyone tried Metler-Toledo? Any suggestions as to solutions for better reliability?

    H2SO4 respect

I work at a Chlor-Alkali facility where we have both 98% and 76% sulfuric acid. Seems too many people at the plant do not show enough respect for this very dangerous chemical. Looking for ideas to convey that would give or scare people into using the proper PPE when working aroung these areas...
