NX still does not have associated positioning for mirror assemblies. We also have lots of mirror assemblies. We create separate file (named for eg. RL-component_name.prt) and there create associated mirrored assembly via WAVE linking. It works, but with issues. Mirror geometry updates...
Hi all,
Please see attached model file. Having some problems with adding blend between two surfaces (showed in cyan color). The problem is, that blend should connect two curved surfaces in fixed radius (70mm). And also it must have constant width of 13mm. As you can see now, created solid does...
"Load interpart data" checkbox should be checked if you use wave links. All wave links will not update properly, if that setting won't be checked.
If possible, please attach here some example of what you are doing.
We also had some problems with wave links (we use lots of mirror assemblies with...
I can see all collapsed groups. The problem is how to select proper part from the list? I have loaded more the 100 components (with assembly), and it is difficult to find proper component from the list. I dont understand, why NX does not offer the component you are working with?
Hi,
so it is already with option "more" in my screenshot. If i choose "less", the list of loaded parts disappears, and it is not possible to add base view at all.
Hi all,
Is there any fast way to add view from the list of loaded parts? I don't understand why its changed in NX10, but now if you want to add base view, it is not automatically selected active part, you must choose from loaded parts:
As you can see, its quite complicated to find the part...
John, yes. Only I thought you were talking about font for drafting, not for system font. It was new for me, that NX10 uses system font for text editor (as for almost all menu items).
It was different in NX8 (there were no need to change windows system font to some monospace font, like courier new).
cowski: of course, it checked it.

I found, that you can influence it by Preferences->User Interface and changing NX Theme. If I change it from "Classic" to "Classic with system font" or "System" I can see different results in Text editor dialog. Maybe its possible to change system...
OK, I'm attaching normschrift font.
But I think you dont understand me clear. Normschrift is font has nothing to do with font used inside text editor dialog. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=1fac86bc-b975-48ef-8be7-d8d65863f2ed&file=NORMSCHRIFT.FNX
Both NX8 and NX10 use NORMSHRIFT for annotations. Its our company's standard. Its OK in drawing sheet both for NX8 and NX10. Its not OK (in NX10) in text editor.
Seems that NX10 uses different system font. But where I can change...
Thanks for the replay.
But what was changed in NX10? In NX8 (also as I remember NX7) what I can see in text editor, is what I get in a drawing. I made a screenshot from NX8.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=a6525611-b13d-45d8-b013-ed52a1044244&file=text_NX8.jpg
