George, it's about cracking naphta...do you have experience designing/operating the facilities without spare heater. Our design capacity is 1.1 million tpa with original 7 heatears. However, we plan to remove one spare heater due to cost cutting iniatative..
Was informed that having bypass will significantly expedite the start-up period. Without bypass for cold start-up, was told it will take about 7 hours to come up to rated capacity. For hot start-up, will take about 3 hours....In my opinion, this is too slow...any advise
Dear rmw,
Since we already got 4 Frame 5 GTGs, I thought it is logical to continue with the frame 5 as well. However, if the delivery time for frame 5 machine is way off our expectation, we may consider other types of machine e.g. GE Aero, Hitachi H25. At present, we still focus on F5.
We are...
Hi,
Does OEM suppose to normally recommend the frequency of online and offline washing? I've checked the manual. Nothing mentioned about the frequency.

Hi,
Anyone got any info regarding the fastest delivery period of 25MW GTG? Was informed that at present due to increase work load/order all around the world, the delivery period has increased. Example, last year when we placed the order for 4 GTGs, the delivery period was only 12 months. Now...

Anyone got experience with regards to the installation of bypass stack between GTG and HRSG. What are the pros and cons on having this bypass stack.
I was informed by the HRSG vendor that nowadays about 90% of their installation is without bypass stack.

Hi,
In 4 to 6 months time we are planning to commission 4 GTGs (F5 size) and 4 HRSGs (95 t/h with supplementary firing). Our gas turbine is closed coupled with the HRSG without the bypass stack i.e. if GTG down, HRSG will also down, vice versa.
I was informed that due to not having a bypass...
Dear gtsim,
In our case, we have 4 GTGs (F5 size) + 1 STG (similar size to GTG) and plan to operate at about 60% load for all of the generators. Each GTG will be operated at about 14.4 MW each (rated load about 23-25 MW). Based on your explanation, I would consider the frequency of offline...
Sometimes EPC is extended to EPCC (Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning), or even + OM (Operating & Maintenance). There're pros and cons on these project implementation strategies.
Ashereng,
The "small" PSV or we call it creep valve will only vent the NG to atmosphere when both SSOVs failed...refer to the safety protection features. This is for additional protection (may not be required).
