Is there anyone at you facility that does program tool motion with CATIA? Even the simplest tool motion requires the proper license(s), machine specific .pptables and a post processor. Also needed is knowledge of work holding and cutting tools. Sorry this is the best I can tell you.

That explains the issue. I copy '2d' points for patterns and thought I would just create a sketch with these points for the pattern.

I need to create holes on a non-planar surface. The holes that are supplied are the pierce points, the holes need to be perpendicular to the surface as they are rivet holes.

As far as creating a circle etc. yes the sketch stays in the tree. I am copying the points from a geometrical set in the same document. If I copy the points into a sketch that has other geometry in it, when leaving sketcher, the points are 'copied' into the geometrical set from which...
Jackk, I have tried all of your suggestions. I can see the sketch in the tree until I leave sketcher. After that, the sketch is no longer in the tree.

Look in Options--> Machining--> Operation--> DISPLAY TOOL PATH OF OPERATION IN CURRENT PART-OPERATION. Uncheck this box and it should not display your tool path.

Create your standard axis, and then create an axis at your new origin. Now translate the part from the new origin to the standard axis. The translation is in the generative shape workbench.
Or right mouse click on your new origin axis and set as current.

In options,display, there is an option for the Z buffer. Not sure of the actual verbiage, but this will get you close. I will look tomorrow and give you the actual.

What format are you exporting? Have you tried putting your points and splines into no/show before trying to export? In options, you can choose export only visible entities.

Can you create an Apt Source file with-out PP Tables? We have post-processor files for each machine which allows for the processing of the Apt Source file. All we need to do is change the Machin card and we are good to go.

Go to tools---> options---> general tab---> licensing.
Check the licenses you have access to. Exit CATIA. Bring CATIA back up, you should be good to go.
