Since the parent was posted a year ago I can only assume that the issue was resolved since the parent poster didn't return with a follow-up.
I wanted to echo that sending summary memos is an excellent idea. For all you know, this man can't remember unless he visually processes the information...
Do it for as long as you can. Some people are machines and can grind indefinitely, but most people burn out after a few semesters. If you pace yourself and don't get sick often you should be able to stay on track as you plan. Good luck!
