    Thanks for the advice. Think I'll do a second oil change after 50 or so miles for no particular scientific reason. I though dimantle was the way, but hope does spring eternal.

    I am planning to switch oil in my 2004 Sportster to synthetic. Does ALL the petroleum oil have to removed and if so, how does one get all the oil out.
