While the Euler geometric equations have the proper outputs, they do not have the proper inputs; rate gyros read rates about body axes, which are not rates of change of the Euler angles.

An instrumentation problem. Given the data from an on-board accelerometer and rate gyro package (6 channels/columns), how to transform from vehicle to earth axes (and integrate)? Probably Euler or quaternion transform. Same problem as in robotics, games, spacecraft. Urgent.
