I have been asked to do some research on servo repairs, especially on remagnetizing a servo if needed. Can you guys give me any insight as to how it is done. What kind of equipment is required. What type of power are we looking at do this, etc...
thanks
call your local pneumatics supply shop. they'll order you the right valves for your application. looks like you just need a on delay valve and whatever control valve you need to "fire" the delay
I'm having a problem with getting a pcmk/a card to work with a plc2/16.
I followed the technote about modifying the config.sys file with no luck so far. I have tried the list of memory ranges listed by AB
Any help would be appriciated

here is the company's website.
we have seen a demo, but as with any demo it is in the
most ideal conditions, not true to life.
We have been looking at the performance controllers from the Power Efficiency Corp. The controller is a soft start with an scr motor controller of sorts. My background is controls not motors so I'm not sure how to word my question.
I'm wondering can any damage be done to the motor by running...
Open Simatic Manager, go over to Help then to Getting Started. At the bottom of the Getting Started help page is
How To Set Up Projects. That's about the easiest way to learn the basics.
We have 40F with a bad power supply board, it is a dc-dc ps
part number c-8730-1661-1
I am looking for some info on what a replacement board is worth, or possibly what the output current is for the +5V and +24V supplies and what I should be looking for from the PF output. Most of the components...
CAdkins, that was the first thing that I did. The Sick barcode readers have two discreet outputs. they can be configured for just about anything, but they only allow for
a positve match to two distinct barcodes, two shy of what we need. I have talked to Sick and there is no option for using...
nbucska, i was thinking of that as well. i was contemplating using a basic stamp like the bs2. the dl205 with the 260 processor would be nice, but the price is starting to exceed my cheap budget. I was looking for something approximately $200.00 US when everything is said and done.
reading through the manual for the DL05, it looks like i would set up com2 in slave mode, but how would i address a read command? any info is appreciated.
Is there a low cost controller that has an rs232 port with just a few i/o.
I have an application with a sick barcode reader. it has an
available rs232 port to send data to a pc. I would like to hook it to a cheap plc, send the data to the plc, decode the label data (up to four different labels)...
We ended up using a slc500 with the proset. We made a lot of changes to the code. Basically rewrote all of the user screens for a 10" panelview with more operator information available on each screen.
We also made it easier for the operators to make setup changes since more info was on each...
I have 6 presses that we are quoting a retrofit of.
The customer's needs are more than what the Omega system
offers so we are looking at the StamPro system as one possibility.
I would like to know the good, bad and uglies about the system. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
ECENG, What make and size of press did you install the proset. Once you were over the learning curve was it an easy install? I had planned on using a PV Plus and create my own operator interface. What is the customer's impression of the system? Did you have to rewrite most of the program, or was...
Has anyone here used the A-B Proset 200 or the
Siemens Siject 16? What are your thoughts on both units.
I have a couple of injection molding machines that need a
new controller and these take a lot of the programming work
out of the equation.
