I am trying to plot 3d models into 2d drawings. When I attempt to plot using the "DXB File.pc3" plotter, I get this message "Cannot open file" with these choices "Abort, Retry, Ignore".
I've tried several approaches and haven't been succesful in resolving this problem...
Currently working on an application where (2) electromagnetic brakes are mounted to (2) wrapping devices. The wrapping devices rotate simultaneously by an opened rotating ring.

I tried the exercise mentioned above, and I notice that if my heading is called "CATEGORY" for example jam nut, for every jam nut that is inserted under this heading, that's how many jam nuts will appear in my combo-box. "Too cumbersome"

I would like to be able to open an excel template with predefined cells that match a master worksheet. The predefined cells would be for example "Item Name", "Item Description", "Unit Price", etc. When I open the template, which will be the worksheet that will be used to quote my clients. I...
The idea that I had in mind was to open a template file, select a component from a list and the balance of the information would automatically be filled in other fields. I understand that this can get rather lengthy and complicated. Selecting a component from a drop down menu would be nice. The...

Thanks for the tip, if the cost is right, the link that IRstuff referred me to will work very well.
If someone has a similar application, you might want to look at this device.

Sorry, misread the specs for this unit! Accuracy still applies
Although, I did verify the "Pacific Laser System". This might actually work well!
Thanks IRstuff!
Answers to the questions above;
(1) The units are to be ±.10" (approx. 1/8")
(2) The target will be as big as the sensor will need it.
(3) Budget will depend on the customer ($4000 too expensive!)
(4) Distances? Min.=4 FT, Max.=15-16 FT.
What I meant about changing the "Deformation Scale Ratio" was the display scale (view on the screen), not the actual model scale. This has nothing to do with material used, forces in the right direction, etc. This is clearly a visual setting.
Anyone could recommend an economical way to sense a steel plate at a distance of 16 feet with precision to 2 decimal places?
I've found Ultrasonic Sensors that can sense the distance, not the precision but costs a fortune.
Any response will be greatly appreciated!
Using SolidWorks 2003 with CosmosXpress add-on;
Is there a way to change the Deformation Scale Ratio with CosmosXpress? The deformed shape is exaggerated and I would like to make the deformated scale more proportional.
Any response will be greatly appreciated!
I am currently shopping for a workstation laptop. I would like to know if anyone is running SolidWorks on this type of unit?
If so, What is the hardware configuration, and how does SolidWorks perform?
Any response will be greatly appreciated!
