    Gear Pump Volume Formula

Thanks for your reply Ted. Driver gear has 28 teeth & driven has19 teeth. Input RPM is from 500 to a max of 6000 RPM. It is the displacement of the pump that I am trying to calculate. I have included a picture, the large gear is driven by the engine. Hope this helps in helping...

    Gear Pump Volume Formula

Could some kind soul point me in the correct direction please. I need to find the capacity of an automotive transmission gear pump, the engine driver gear measures 2.364" driven gear=1.694" gear width=.472" and dimension between centres =1.574" The formula I have is for gears of equal OD Thank...

    PWM Solenoid frequency

Thank you for your prompt reply Mike, however I do not seem to have made my question clear. These Solenoids have a set frequency plus a variable pulse width to control valve position & hence the flow of oil. My query is, Why are these driven at different frequencies? The duty cycle varies in the...

    PWM Solenoid frequency

Hello I am engaged in repairing automotive automatic transmission, I have noticed that PWM solenoids are driven at many different Htz, although their external appearance is much the same. to date I cant find a reasonable answer for the difference & why, Closest I come to an answer is that there...

    Metal contraction in freezer

Thank you Ted, you have confirmed my thoughts. One more question if I may. Would placing the housing in the freezer while it is still warm encourage a coating of frost? I notice some aluminum housings do get covered in a light coating of frost while others do not.

    Metal contraction in freezer

I have two questions if I may 1-If an aluminum housing with a steel spool valve is placed in a freezer is it likely to be covered in frost on removal after several hours ? 2- Depending on the answer to (1) would this be a valid test for hanging spool valve when ambient temperature is cold...
