I need a good reference book on designing a treatment plant.
I am assuming a site to treat effluent from a 100 home subdivision, then 200 home suddivision then 300 home etc.
I do not have experience with gravity flow plus storm surcharge.
Any help is appreciated.
cvg -My first rainfall runoff study included installing a rain gage at the Hwy 60 just east of Apache Junction.Circa 1966. It rained 0.5 inches in 5 minutes. It was so intense that it washed out a trailer court and trailers as the flood crossed HWY 60 heading southward from the area. Actual...
cvg how about the MAG standards for a wash left bank, using pre-teated 5 ft. long 4x4 timbers as rip rap?
I am having trouble accessing ADOT MAG Standards.
A road crossing a Desert wash (Apache Junction,Az) is eroding on the downstream edge of the road. The road has a 4 inch layer of asphalt on it. It has scoured 2 ft. below grade on the downstream side and has eroded
about 2 ft. into and underneath road. Is there a formal engineering solution to...
A simple approach is to name the values to match the column.
If C12 is the value in column C, row 12, , then let v = C12
Similarly, let d = C8.
Now prepare the equation using those values directly.
Check each component and the first answer .
WHAT ARE THE inflow parameters?
precip, intensity, Tc, area, C,
size of system (Storage capacity) size and type of outlet?
diameter, length, elevations of storage tank, invert elevation?
One alternative is to select one acre, 2 acres and 5 acres.
Select the site or sites based on the greatest cost (low elevation, high water surface, large area inundation, etc).
Prepare a strategy to improve the area with fill, FEMA LOMR (with fill) etc. Request bids for each project. This is...
Contact the Surface Water Specialist at the US Geological Survey office in your state Capital.
He will provide you with data of actual 100 year flood estimates and drainage areas.
Select the area within your study area, take the 100 year peak flow data provided and respective area,
divide the...
I have a 70 sq.ft. roof. Rational Equation provides a flow of 0.75 cfs.
I = 9.6 in/hr, Area = 7700 sq.ft. C= 0.9
I will install 9 vertical pipes on the roof, connect them to 9 horizontal pipes underneath sidewalks.
I am not familiar wiht methodology
I suggest you contact the USGS Water Resources Division Surface Water Specialist in your State. They know the errors inherrent in using the Regional Regression equations. I helped develop them for 12 states in the west. The errors are substantial for many reasons.
Your area may have a...
