Combining with yields the following, not what I computed in my last post:
(Ex*Omega)/wpx Ex/wpx+(0.4*Sds*Ie*wpx)/wpx
2nd 0.04*3=0.12 0.04+0.12=0.16
3rd 0.05*3=0.15 0.05+0.12=0.17
4th 0.09*3=0.27 0.09+0.12=0.21...
I took the exception to mean substituted and not combined with. Combining with would result in lower loads on the 2 upper levels.

2nd 0.04*3=0.12 0.04+0.12*3=0.40
3rd 0.05*3=0.15 0.05+0.12*3=0.41...

"The forces calculated above need not exceed those calculated using the load combinations of Section 12.4.2.3 with the seismic forces determined by Equation 12.10-3"
