Yes, I did try that but when I first save onto the hard disk, the file size is 6MB. It doesn't fit onto a floppy. I want to save not only the config and data files. More importantly the data files, but I found out that inorder to view the data files the config has to be viewed as well. I did...
Yes, helpful. Now that I know how to use it, how can I save the data on a floppy? I can save the data on the hard disk, but I am unalbe to save the data on a floppy. I read the user manual and reference and it doesn't help at all. I am using the HP 16505A prototype analyzer along with the HP...
Hi,
Has anyone used this analyzer before? I'm trying to monitor the state of a processor. Any quick references or links to where I can learn how to use this?
Thanks,

I found a site to download SiSoft Sandra 2001 at:
http://www.5star.nsm.co.uk/Utilities/Diagnostics/sisoft-sandra.html
It gives me information about the PCI devices, but it does not test the PCI bus itself.
Thanks for the help though.
Laffalot, I looked at the sites you recommended and...
Hi Laffalot,
Thanks for your help, but the software doesn't run any tests regarding PCI Bus. It does show information regarding the PCI thought.
Thanks again,
Vic
I found out what the GNT# and REQ# pin is ... it's the pins for the connectors on the motherboard...
Do you or does anyone have any experience using the analyzer?
Where else can I find information regarding the HP PCI Bus Analyzer?
Thank you,
Vic
Hi,
I have an HP PCI Bus Analyzer. Does anyone know how to use this thing? I can't find much about it on the net, I search for pci bus analyzer's and i get a lot of hits on vmetro's pci bus analyzer. So if there is anyone out there who knows where i can get some info regarding this analyzer...
Hi,
I've got a power supply with a power factor correction that "the power supply shall meet the IEC-1000-3-2 Standard"? Does anyone know what that means? I looked under the IEC website and found this: "Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3-2: Limits - Limits for harmonic...
On my PSU it shows an input of 120V @ 7A = 840W. This value is way above the output power I measured from the PSU, 244W. This value is way below... I did use the APC selector and it gave me a value similar to mine but with the x1.4.
I know that for my PSU there is a power factor correction...
Hi,
I measured the DC output power of my power supply, so I can find an UPS for my system. How can I find VA? I read that I can multiply my DC output power by 1.4. Can anyone justify this?
Thanks,
Vic
daklone,
On the APC, American Power Conversion, website, they allow the user to select pc components. They show a value in Watts and then they give a value in VA. I think it has something to do with the power factor... i'm not too sure what it is though. APC says if the value you have is in...
Hi,
I am looking for a UPS. I want to calculate VA.
I know the max watts my computer draws. I know that I would have to multiply this value by 1.4 to obtain the VA, load. Or do I use the max power rating on my power supply to obtain the VA, load?
Thanks,
Vic
