Hi there,
when you do a join of these surface use the
"Simplfy the result" &
"Ignore erroneous elements"
this will create a single domain surface.
but this doesnt work well for complex surface. for the simple cases it will pass.

Hi there..
1)You can apply the required orientation (translation and rotations) needed in the part level itself using the translate and rotate commands. This brings the part to its position in the assembly with the correct position.
2)alternatively you can create a WCS at the correctly...
hi there..
1. right click on the view where you need to filter some parts.. then
2. select view modily links..
3. switch back to the assembly and select which are the part that u want in the drawing only for that view.. (multiple selection can be done using ctrl key)
4. when u switch back to...
hi there
except for the first level of the BOM that you want to generate you can supress the display of the BOM by doing the following..
1.multi select the sub assy & the parts->MB3->properties and uncheck visualise in BOM.
2. update the drawing after making these changes in the product...
Firstly are you working on a v5 session integrated with PDM?
If so u can get the data....ask your PDM administrator for it.
Otherwise i think there nothing like incremental saves.
Therez one called incremental backup in tools->option-> general->general/data save.... but it retrieves the last...
rkhan,
select the sheet in which you want to select the dimensions.
use advanced search and use "from current selection" in the look field.
this selects only the dimension in the current selection which is "sheet.x"
the composed query below with the wireframe elements selected with Yellow color.
'Generative Shape Design'.Circle.Color='Basic 26'+
'Generative Shape Design'.Line.Color='Basic 26'+
'Generative Shape Design'.Point.Color='Basic 26'
Also in the "Look" feild U can select the "from current...
Also roll over the mouse over the commands you want and you get all the shortcuts just left of the "Power input mode".
There are some more in the docs like solid7 has mentioned.
example "c:scale planes".

Hi there,
1. Extract your surfaces from the solid.
2. Create a parallel curve on the surface extracted above.
3. Create center points on the edges of the extract on either side.
4. Create two lines outward from the created points.
5. Create a connect curve using the "base curve" option...
Hello all,
I am working on pro-e wildfire 2.0.
My system config is P4 2.5ghz and 512mb ram.
When i enter the sketcher mode and start creating any entities those are preety fast and easy to create except for the fact that when i create a centreline inside the sketch the system hangs like hell...
Hello there,
Yes u can define the material for the geometry before analysis.
Right click on the part/assembly parts and say edit form the contextual menu and open the part in a new window.
Now the part opens in the part module.
Here you can define the material properties for the part...
Hello there,
You will have the XYZ axis at the right bottom corner of the display area. You can do a mouse click on it so that the geometry grays out. Now you can scroll back the tree using the mouse. Click the same axis after the tree is visible to get back the grayed out geometry.
Hope this...
Hi travis,
I am very new to analysis. But i can help in suggesting you in creating a single surface using join or heal commands.
The reason for you getting this error non connex surface" and "non manifold result" is bcoz--- of the merging distance that is keyed in the the join or the heal...
Hi tony,
When you select the boundaries/edges for fill they may contain sharp points/vertex(i.e the edges are not smooth curves) between end to end at many places. when you apply fill the vertex tends to bulge forming the bump/deformation.
You can optimise the fill by first applying curve...
Hello Pals,
I need a clarification.
When we use a join or a healing command, there is a arrow seen over the surfaces which is flippable.
Can anyone clarify with a suitable example as to what for it is and its significance.
Thanks in advance,
Ashvanth Viswanathan.
Hi
Please can anyone help me on keying in a 3D annotation symbol in between a text that is put for a part.
say an example of Dia symbol or tolerance symbol.

Hi Dominique,
i don't think that its possible for u to delete the List of "Files Of type", bcoz the DS people have programmed it like that. (i.e) all file types wud appear in the pull down list so that the user can selsct the requiered type of the file that he wants. so its a common stuff that...
Hi Dominique,
Its simple. in the open window u will be having the "Files of Type" tab wherein u can select the types u want which again will display the files. by default it will be set to all files. u can change those to see the result.
