309 filler weld for 304 SS

Dear all, I have tube to tubesheet joint in our HE (tube and tubesheet is 304). Our WPS stated that the filler weld shall be 308. But now our welder made a mistake by using 309 filler weld. What should I do ??? I read from filler cataloque the different between 308 and 309 is carbon, chrome and...

PWHT Temp for 1.25 Cr - 0.5 Mo

Dear all, I have an Heat Exchanger made by 1.25 Cr - 0.5 Mo (SA 387). AS per ASME VIII PWHT for P4 min temp is 593 C. But Our project spec stated that PWHT temp min is 670 C. I also read from KOBE cataloque temp min PWHT is 670 C. My question what make these different value ? Is there any...

    Lamiflex sealing

Dear fellow, Now I am doing project with lamiflex longitudinal baffle. I use multiple layer with 5 ply sealing strips (each with 0.2 mm thick) with 460 F design temp, and the material 316 SS. I think multiple layer is better to keep elasity and sealing performance. I believe 316 SS is OK for 500...
