I have an uncoated pipe immersed in Seawater (Mediterranean Sea), 60m Water Depth. I have estimated the rate of corrosion to be .2 - .4 mm per year.
Has anyone had experience of pipe in similar conditions. Can you confirm these rates or otherwise.
You need to define the text "style" where you can provide an angle for obliquing. The command may be STYLE or TXTSTYLE, I cannot remember.
This is different from rotation when using TXT command.

Draw the line using "perp" osnap, this will draw the line perpendicular to the one you choose.
Then use move "end" point of new line at intersection to "end" point of original line.

To clarify:
The valves are remote and are only accessible by a costly intervention process. They cannot be drained.
Open means "opening" the valve not disassembly.
I have an application where seawater may become trapped in the valve body cavity. The pipeline will be vacuum dryed and we want to avoid opening the valve to remove any trapped seawater.
Has anyone had experience of this type of application and/or problems with this type of corrosion.
