    Thank you all for your suggestions. I also deal with this at the drawing level with weld notes. If there was a direct way to do this I am sure you would know about it I may suggest this feature as an Enhancement Request for future upgrades.

    I am not sure that SmartDraw is better than an Autocad 2000 add-on. I do need the files to be in Acad format for distribution. I downloaded the (AutoCad 2000 JIC Electrical Symbols Menu Add-On)I found at this site; http://www.mrplc.com and it seems quite good. I am interested in opimions
