I tried out ur situation (at least what i think u want) and understand ur problem now. When i ask to make a flat pattern he finally says : "no bending zone found". This is because i couldnt find no other way then making a cone with partfeatures
There is a software solution though ...
I hope i understood u correctly. This is how i would do it :
1. Make a workplane trough axis of cone
2. Design in this workplane a sketch with size of ur cut
3. Revolve sketch with cut on and choose an angle
In that way u have a cut with straight edges.
Dont know how ur flat pattern will...
"Inventor 7
Is it a stable program?
Is it really as easy to learn as it appears?
What am I missing?"
If u can i advise u to take IV8 : in that version they say to have improved the speed in drawings. I work with IV6 in a construction environment and it gives me satisfaction. But...
Does anyone know if there is a list on the internet available that links parts to a din norm?
Sometimes i have a part for which i need the din number but that is not obvious.
Thx in advance
I agree : i found a chain on that site but i want to add some remarks :
1. If u want a longer chain u need to add the links urself in other words : each link is constrained => timeconsuming job if u want a long chain
2. It slows down ur pc the longer it gets.
3. U cant use the existing chain...
Thx for replying.
Problem is they dont have any handbooks on such matters here....
So i have to find my own way. Hence my question for information on the internet.
I need to design a tube 16" in which following materials will be transported : Aluminium blocks, wooden blocks, sand.
There is limited space to place the tube so i need the minimum angle under which the tube has to be placed.
Therefor i need the friction angles for those materials.
The...
