:D THAT IS EXACTLY THE PAGE I USED! LOL. ;D
I was worried more about getting the notation right so that I would get a product that was manfacturable and checkable.
I have settled on this:
.106 +/-.001
PIERCE EXTRUDE
.08 DEEP X .020 WALL MIN.
BTW, my 2 place tolerance is +/-.010"
Thanks for...
I am not aware of any set format for calling out a hole in sheetmetal that will fit a threadforming screw.
I want a hole the will fit an M3x.5 screw.
From what I know, .106 +/-.001 should do it. I want it to be 2 material thickness' after piercing and the material is .040" thick. My title...
I would only add one thought to all the disk space discussion. The original file takes only as much space as needed, but PDMWorks IIRC, stores a change file at a small percent age the originals size. W/O a pdm program every time you save a new revision they are all 100% in size. Correct me if...
Hi all,
It seems that the problem was diagnosed to be a SW issue. They tested it with BlueBeam installed and NOT installed. The problem remained. It seems to have something to do with changing printers, and the settings don't return correctly.
I will sumbit Bluebeams response to SW as a...
Ok, tried that. No difference. The orientation changed from landscape to portrait again.
Also I am using "use document settings" and "scale sheet to fit paper" on the "page set up" page.

Just a note. I had title block text being clipped but not the TB itself. (strange problem) I fixed it by changing my HP laserjet 8150N default setting to "allow edge to edge" printing.
BTW, I have a differnent issue with BlueBeam which, I will look up, or start a another thread.
Sorry, but the problem is inside SolidWorks.
Try this... open a new part file.... I notice that fills my screen all but 3/16" on the right side and 3/8" from the bottom. The top left is in the top left corner.
Then pull the border (any edge) of the solidworks window into cover the...
My co-worker is annoyed by the size of the window that his part/drawing/assemblies open up in. Can this be set? We are now using SW2003 sp4.0. Thanks all.
Additional background info. We each have a 21" monitor. SolidWorks is not maximized, so that we get to short cuts and other...
