the duct is moving dust and air to a bag house. The internal pressure ...Im not sure its not that great....the internal temp is about 250 degrees. the total length might be hundreds of feet so it will have intermediate supports maybe every 20' or so.....the loads Im looking at are...
It would be nice if I could find something online so I could read it for nothing and have it right away. Im looking to find the stresses and how to determine the allowables...... I could run it in SAP2000 but Im really interested in finding the typical checks that one would do
a couple of thoughts from someone who has used a similar jib on a fork lift.... the loads won't be "static"....things picked up with the jib will dance around pretty good so give yourself plenty of room for a dynamic factoron the antisipated loads. Also the load gets reversed...alot...(maybe...
I made it through all the calculuses....didn't really learn it fully but got through it. After 15 years doing structures....only 1 time did I use calculus to solve a problem...and thats because I wanted to try it that way rather than the stripped down approx method.
Rarely do I use math that I...
....I went back to school for my 4 year engineering degree after working 12 years in construction...I had a few credits from my younger days but it still took me 4 years to get through ....I went full time as my spouce was able to provide for the family during this time....we lived paycheck to...
Im new to useing moving loads in SAp2000 (v14). I have gotten things pretty much as I want them and now what particular output. I have a multi span with say 4 widely spaced wheel loads. I analyse my model and I get the correct maximum reactions at each support.
What I want is at a...
Actually it really doesn't need to be threaded rod .... I needed aa material that had a Fy of 70 ksi and the existing hole is 6" diameter ...I found A193 fit the bill. so I slip this "rod" thru the hole and I have to attach 2 rods to both ends.....so really I suppose I could have a 6"...
Its actually going to be placed horz. thru the top chord of a truss and hold some verticle rods on both ends causing alot of bending....tthere is an exiting 6" diamter hole that used to hold a pin that this new pin/bolt is going to run thru...there are some interfrences that make this the most...
Can anyone give me any dimensional information or a place to look for that information for a nut that would be used on a 6" diameter threaded rod?....thanks in advance
using ACI...if you say your "d"=27"....then bo is 312"....that would result in over 2200 kips....I think you might have issues with the 10x10 footing unless your on somethin really really stiff
